    Bearcat 980SSB "PLL Porn"

Probably should have linked the project I tinkered with as it is actually open source (both hardware as well as software). http://www.hvde.nl/electronica/tx/4m/arduino/CBto4_3.1_nl.shtm It's in Dutch, so you'll have to use a translation option. Obviously the design doesn't apply to what you're...

    Bearcat 980SSB "PLL Porn"

Yes.. please go on, keep us in the loop. I've done a bit of arduino stuff with a DDS in the past, so can follow it somewhat. Haven't peeked on serial data with a scope though. Don't have a bearcat here, nor are they easy to get by down here in my neck of the woods. But as you say, the same...

Unit 399 JJ in Medellin Colombia

Always enjoyed reading his posts here at the forum. He had some great stories in him and did know how-to tell them. Wish a lot of strength to his loved ones. RIP Unit 399.

How do you probe amplifier outputs...

Yip.. that's how I used to measure the frequency, works great.

    ISO oscilloscope

I found this video that Brandon linked earlier very helpful in explaining the digital scope specifications. https://www.worldwidedx.com/threads/digital-oscilloscope-users.270715/

How do you probe amplifier outputs...

Hi, I've never measured high output like that myself yet, but with that out of the way... Before I got my wonderful Spinner 40dB attenuator that can handle 400 Watt, I did build myself a RF Power Tap and that works pretty well. (I tested it with low power only) See this pdf...

    11 meter is very quiet?

lol, even that doesnt' help as the stack of radios to work on still grows faster than they get repaired.

    I won a Radioddity QT80!

    11 meter is very quiet?

Just had a nice chat with CT4005, Chris from Northhampton UK on 27.325 FM with 100 Watt using my Anytone Q5N2. He used a Sirio 4 elements and came in booming up to 60dB. Quite unusual this time of the year and that at 6pm when it's already dark. Very nice.

Why is the KL 200 P slightly higher in price than the KL.203 P at Cooper Electronics?

Correct. Any of the RM amps that ends on "03" uses MOSFETs.

Query regarding the use of multiple FM radio transmitters in the same space.

That's pretty much impossible to answer without knowing the details of the transmitters and receivers. This is why I mentioned the music shop as they could probably give you proper advice on what product would suit your needs. It certainly is possible to get it to work.

Query regarding the use of multiple FM radio transmitters in the same space.

Personally I would try a shop for musical instruments. Musicians nowadays also use a lot of wireless setups because it is so much easier. I'm sure that there's also products that specialise on museums etc.. Eg. for people walking around with a headphone through the museum and get an audio tour...

Query regarding the use of multiple FM radio transmitters in the same space.

Hi, So you want to put 6 FM transmitters that operate in the frequency of 76 to 108 MHz putting out 7 watt on a small telescopic antenna all within a small space. It's a bit hard to say if it will or won't work. The first thing to remark is that I don't think that your installation is legal...

    SARK 100 issue

Had someone bring one of these and it had indeed impact damage. One of the SMD capacitors was cracked. I replaced that one and .. it still didn't work. As it's all SMD's I just left it at that.. didn't have the time (or energy) to troubleshoot it further.

    Cheap amazon scope probes

Ran it for a bit over 2 hours on the powerbank during which I upgraded the firmware to the latest 1.0.4 and ran a pretty long self calibration. The battery now is at 22%, so I guess that 3 hours is a bit optimistic, but maybe if it isn't running full steam all the time it's possible.

    Cheap amazon scope probes

I don't know about the Siglent, but the Rigol runs Android 7 (from 2016, End of Life in 2019) underneath. As I'm a software engineer.. that's just not acceptable to hook up to a network IMO. Way too old and Rigol doesn't actually offer regular firmware updates, nor do I believe they are patching...

    Cheap amazon scope probes

The USB-C power part on the Rigol was one of the things I actually liked. Already bought a powerbank for it, so that I can use it by running it from the powerbank. Forgot to test that, but I just booted the scope from the powerbank, it certainly works. :) Another thing I did like was that you...
