Hi everyone ,
I've been looking at the Browning Golden Eagle Mark III , IV , and V radios for many years . I always wanted one of them , but never jumped at the chance to grab one ... partially because I like to know that if I'm spending a lot of money on a radio , that it...
to answer the question that was originally asked in this post ... I've been making videos for Youtube making sure that people know that CB radio is not dead , and to help those that are new to CB find good equipment , and learn more about CB radio . I'm not sure if posting the link is allowed ...
I have an old Cobra 2000 GTL that means a lot to me . It was once my grandmothers , and I inherited it after she passed a few years ago . It sat for a few years before she passed , and then it sat for a few more years before I inherited it . I did run it for awhile without any issues , but then...
I can "Try" recording it , and posting it . It's nothing like street lights , or transformers . This starts every morning at the exact same time (8:30 am) , and ends every night at the exact same time (7:45 pm) . Which rules out street lights . It's timing is so precise that you can literally...
The FCC sent me a reply to my 1st report on the interference saying thanks but no thanks .
So I submitted a 2nd report informing them that I'm a Ham operator . What the noise level is at , and that if there were any emergency traffic , this level of interference would make it impossible to...
On May 26th at around 5 pm I started getting 8-9 pounds of noise on my radios receive . It goes from the 40 meter band all the way to the 2 meter band . It starts at 8 am every morning and it goes on until 8 pm every night . It's exact , like something's on a timer . There's never a break from...
I posted this previously , but I believe I posted it in the wrong area ... so I'm reposting it here .
I have a Heathkit SB-102 that I run with the HP-23(B) power supply . The SB-102 has had some updating done to it on the inside ... but not everything has been updated . I've talked about this...
Number 5 wouldn't be an issue if one of the wires had shielding ... but none of them had any . I wired it all up and left pins 5 , 8 , and 11 a no connect . There were 11 pins and 8 wires in the cord that came with it , and none of them were shielded . So I figured that was the only possible...
So I bought an SB-102 , which didn't come with an HP-23 power supply , or their connecting cord . I ordered an HP-23B power supply , and I also ordered the 11 pin connecting cord separately , because the power supply also didn't have the cord with it either .
Now the cord shows up unassembled ...
BJ radionut - Thanks for sharing that ad . I messaged W8QW about his power supply , and I haven't got a reply back from him yet . I also had another guy offer me a power supply and the speaker together . I replied to him yesterday , but I still haven't heard anything back from him yet either ...
I was afraid of that ... I mean , I was hoping it might be possible ... but I figured it probably needed to use that power supply . It's pretty obvious that I purchased an expensive paper weight/dust collector . That's all it's going to be for quite awhile . Because the only place I've found the...
I just bought a nice Heathkit SB-102 , and I can't wait to use it . But , at the moment it doesn't have a power supply with it , I do plan on finding the matching power supply/speaker for it . But in the mean time , is it possible to run this radio using a regular power supply ?
If so ...
