dis you check to see if the amc has been didabled also? did ya try the vr for modulation ..this is often maxed out even if limiters are all in tact..what about swing mod??

best recieving radios ive ever owned was a ar3500 and ar3300 second best was 2510/2600 lincoln , ,emerior 5010....if you find any of these classics in good working order youll have a great recieving radio ..i rank them right up there with my kenwood 570

i run a skipshooter on the roof of my suv nail is a lil rusty .but i checked the tune and its fine ..so really i see no reason to worry if nail is rusty ..but they are cheap enough to replace

im gonna say single coil..but more importantly must get the coil above the roof..higher the better .also is it just me or im finding at least on my searches less and less place are carrying 10ks .especially the single coils..im mostly seeing bad to the bone to my understanding is a dual coil...

i was looking at some at rf martin ...glad i didnt pull the trigger yet

my favorite is my 5 foot skipshooter ..also used wilson silverloads which i like equally well..and firesticks which i thought were ok. most times my skipshooter works as good or better than my wilson 5000 magount and wilson 5000 trucker.if ya on a budget and not running alot of power skipshooter...

should have never cut the 102-108 whip. its a perfect lenth as is..adding a ground wire could help...or could make things worse ..from ya pics you posted id say leave it be

sounds like a good match... but why turn down mic gain on radio.. try leaving mic gain on radio wide open.. then turn up power mic till ya get ya desired level ..half way point ??? maybe

sounds like thr radio is drifting during warm up.. just leave the radio on it should stabilize after 30 minunites or so

i got the sirio 2016 ..you can easily find them at copperelectronics.com or dnjradio .com.. ive had mine up since 2009 .. reguardless of radial lenth it works well. survided many p.a. ice storms and wing ...great antenna too

i dont know much about putting antennas in tree....but if it were mine id get another mast same lenth ,metal connect them two using u bolts n clamps then mount antenna above it ..if that tree should ever fall ;and they do' ya antenna is gonna get destroyed

just ac question ..in my moble setup wilson 5k mag mount .. i get a reading of R=40-45 and x=0 swr of 1.2 -1.3 ...if i try to improve R then my x rises ..should i let it be
