My old 465 has an Expo kit. It has 39 above 40 and 39 below 1. It has one channel of overlap. Channel 1 in "high" toggle is 27.405. Channel 40 in low is 26.965. Other than that it works great. Opened clarifier as well. Great old rig...same as PC122
It's takes a certain kinda buyer.. I agree for $600 you could pick up a used ham rig for ssb/freeband work and a power mic & Cobra 29 and with a little tune for AM.. This would be a better option in my opinion for around the same $.
14 to 14.5 is a safe range to stay in. If you're getting big voltage drops when keying up you should look at a better power supply. Sounds like it has poor regulation or is simply to small for the radio...
I tried for about a half hour on 12 m today. No luck. 100 w and a vertical hard to get through the pile. I will continue to try and should succeed eventually on 10 or 12.. This will be a new one for me. Looks like they will be active for a couple weeks. I might have better luck after a few days..

According to the definition of Gabble:
"talk rapidly and unintelligibly; utter meaningless sounds"
So does flipping this GNF on channel 6 allow one to finally understand what these guys are...
Last night was rough. Temp dropped to 16F with 40mph winds. Worked til 11 pm outside getting the lights back on. Of course the winds took down a tree in an easement (not truck accessible). Was in my hooks on poles for a few hours. Happy to get home to a hot shower and warm bed.
It's dropping to...
I remember occasional late night openings to the east coast sometimes lasting to 2am or later. That was last cycle. This cycle I haven't heard any...unless I missed them while sleeping?
I have never run a sirio base station antenna though I've had great luck with the P5000 mobile antenna. Works well and fine build quality. I have run several A99s and Imax through the years with great success. I currently run a 20 yr old Imax at 40ft to feed. For what it is.. great.
Future...
If it arrived missing parts and bent wouldn't this be more of a distributor issue than a Sirio issue. Unless you ordered it directly from Sirio (don't think you can)? Whoever sold it to you should have caught the missing hardware and packaged it better to prevent damage.. Many members on here...
