Mine is the Maco 5 element, not that it's the best out there, but it's the only one other than the Hygain LongJohn that I've used for working DX.
My Maco has been up on the tower now for 24 yrs and still going strong. The Hygain was up 24 yrs before removing it.
The West Mountain speaker is good, like mention above and also the Heil Clear Speech works good.
I have been using this speaker for the last 19 yrs now and only problem that I've had, is to replace the toggle switch.

I am usually all over the band, but now days, I have been hanging around .385 up to 435. I have lots of radio friends in California so I have been keeping the beam do south mostly now through the summer months.
You will find the more you work the guys in Europe on 11 meters, that probably 60% or more are ham operators.
