    Anytone AT-778UV Scrambler?

I was wondering if anyone else has one of these rigs. It is a great radio, and I like it a lot.... I tried an experiment the other night, that didn't work as advertised... I have the factory programming software, and programming cable, so I set up a channel and turned on the "scrambler"...

Oh... Nothing really new. I have the Low Power setting down to drive the KL-203, The High Setting is for running barefoot. I still have yet to find a schematic for it....

ICOM HM -219 Hand mic smokes the HM-36

I have always looked at the Alinco SR8T... it seems to be very much like the IC-718, except it has FM. Are they a decent rig? That is probably very true, it is the only HF rig I've ever had, so it works for me.

ICOM HM -219 Hand mic smokes the HM-36

I've never had any trouble DX'ing with mine... and FM? only for 10M? I don't even miss it.. I have had my first 718 since 2002... it was $450 back then, then picked up a second one about 10 years ago second hand with an AT-130 Antenna Tuner from a friend for $400 total. Even today, it is $400...

Knight C-577 Compressor- anyone ever seen one?

Swapped the only electrolytic (C2 in the schematic) it was a 50uf/10V, I had a 68uf/10V close enough Looks like the gain dropped a tad, looks like it cleaned up the signal a bit.

Knight C-577 Compressor- anyone ever seen one?

I picked Knight C-577 Compressor up at a local hamfest a while back... she is an oldie for sure... I got some time to throw it on the bench today... signal generator input, monitored the O'scope on the output... it works.... and doesn't take much at all to drive it The meter needle has broke...

    Thought this was cute

The Apollo II has the following power levels: 4/10/40W FM 4/10W AM The cool thing is, the AM/FM Low Power and AM Low Power Modulation is adjustable, and the AM/FM High Power and AM High Power Modulation is adjustable, and these settings are independent of each other. So I set my Apollo II up...

That is basically the same as the Anytone Apollo II, Stryker SR-94HPC, CRT 2000... with a different faceplate.
