I have a few of the radius radios. I think that was about the time they started changing in quality but the radius radios were built well. I especially liked the GM300 it was new and improved maxtrac and great for repeater TX radios. I curently only have one motorola HT and thats a radius p1225...

Okay need some info on this one. I have friend who is a fellow ham and is interested in seting one of these thing up at his house. I understand how the unit works but was wondering on what frequencies you can run the radio on with this unit. He basically want to hook it up for anyone in the area...

Not as good of quality as they once were. The older radios were built like bricks and had big heat sinks and quality construction. Its like just about everything else made these days they just are not built like they used to be. I think this is one of the other reason they lost some business in...

You got that right! Lost my interest in moto after learning how they like to do business. I still like some of their older radios though but have no interest in the new stuff or buying anything from them. The new radios they make are junk anyways or so I have been told.

Still runing my 200. Its works great and the audio clarity is great. The only current thing I dont like about the radio is that the clarifier does not track with the frequency counter after a certain amount of rotation. Also did not buy the radio froma hack shop. I got it unconverted and did it...

LOL Mag mounts stuck to metal filing cabinets, heating vents, air condtioners, coffee cans grounded to heating vents, Metal shelves, also ran a fire stik mounted to an outdoor AC condenser unit for awhile. :P
