    Anyone know what this antenna is

    Found this in the loft but cannot remember what it's for. Anyone know what it's called or what frequencies it's for. I'm thinking it's a wide band receive antenna because it's got 5 wire wound coils getting bigger towards the top. Here's a picture.

    Astatic mike problem

    I have an Astatic D104M6B hand mike that is draining the battery even when I am not using the radio. Is this a component failure, the mike works fine when I install a new battery but after a few weeks of no use the battery is completely dead.
