    Frances 96" whip.

depressing but understandable Its depressing but understandable, that in this day and age, no one but the most die hard CB fanatics will wear a 8 ft + antenna. Given that, they would have to sell them to the few that will want one but at a cost that those who want one might not be willing to...

    Wilson Flex CB Antenna anyone?

I use the Wilson 4' Flex on my superbike. It's the only serious antenna that I have found with the thin flexibility required for my specific install. I don't intend to wack it much except for slight bend when moving out of the garage. It does appear somewhat fragile on close inspection...

    Astatic red devil mic.

Its made well, if anything with a higher quality circuit board than ever, nice and neat layout inside. As an eletret mic with ic equalization, the response curve is flatter than a lollipop on the bottom end, and rising high freq characteristic as the other D104s. What results is a powerful mic...

    Workman P5000 3 window meter

considering these three mentioned , the U.S. made Dosy is the best considering these three mentioned , the U.S. made Dosy is the best in terms of durability and accuracy, IMO. The Astatic 600 is second. I'd go for the Dosy even if i have to move to the single meter models for the higher power...

    CB slang is horrible

Hey man Hey man I do talk like that in real life, not all the time no doubt about it, but some of those phrases are real ice-breakers, fills up awkward silence, emphasizes what else is being said, what's wrong with that?? I'm back out.

    dosy watts vs bird watts

Dosy is calibrated to the same standard as Bird... Circuit design differences and variability in production will cause all of these meters to read off by a percentage, wheter it'd be a Dosy or a Bird.

astatic 600 meters are they any good

Huh? are you trying to be funny? Huh? are you trying to be funny? the Bird thruline is not unlike other meters in the way they read and what components they use, as a matter of fact the Bird uses much less components than most SWR meters, the difference is in the Bird Architecture, with a...

Redman RM3001 triple meter with black backlighting

"Never mind, you answered it, and still do not get it, You Calculate RMS, you do NOT read it on a Dosy meter. Dosy has mislabeled the meter and always will, and the myth will live on despite the effort to teach otherwise. 73 Jeff There is nothing to get, your point is meaningless, or...

Yes, and they spell light "Lite" for their light switch Yes, and they spell light, "Lite" for their light switch. The measurement is ballpark, that by accident it might just read average or calculated RMS or true peak depending on charge and decay of capacitors :). Its usefullness as a...

RMSv= .707 * peak to peakv/ 2, ok so what's your point? RMSv= .707 * peak to peakv/ 2, ok so what's your point? Its very well known that non active meters show about 70% of true peak as viewed on waveform. Using the same meter as a way to measure relative power or to compare multiple...

CB Break Meter door prize poll

analysis More people have voted for a specific meter than those who voted for none. This tells me that meters in this range are viable for more cbers than not. It also tells me that there are quite a few cbers that think that amateur level meters are the way to go and sets them apart from...
