I have a nice Browning Mark IVA and the matching Browning 776 mike (it's really a Turner mike). I need the wiring for the mike connector- can anybody help? Thanks much, Checkerboard
Pictures of the amp
Never uploaded pictures to a site, and then had to embed the website's address into a message before. It doesn't look that easy to me! If anyone is serious about the homebuilt amplifier, I can e-mail them picture of the amp and transformer as an attachment to the e-mail...
I have a two-piece homemade amp that I bought from an estate sale. The main power transforner is a Peter dahl brand and it weighs 67 pounds. The tube cabinet houses six Eimac 3-500Z tubes (I think two are 3-500ZG), which are clear and look almost new. I understan the amp was never used, since...
Tram and Browning Mike Plugs
Hi Joe- thanks for the PMs and the pix. the second plug from the left looks like a Tram D201 plug, but I'll confirm this tomorrow morn. The others are not going to fit a Browning Mark 3 (they have a two-pin male plug). My search continues...and thanks again.
I have several Trams and Browning Mark 2, 3, and 4s. Does anyone know how I can purchase the correct two- and four- conductor mike plugs for these vintage radios? I checked though the Mouser catalog but cannot identify any that would work- maybe Newark has them? I don't want to pay $10 to $15...
That's only the Buy it Now Price
The ARF 2001 is one cool radio. Does anyone else here have one for sale? I see that it's an auction, so maybe it will sell for less. 73s, Checkerboard
My Favorite Export Radio
... is the Ham International Jumbo! A big black brute of a base station ; rack-mount handles, 120 channels, dual antenna outputs, very rare.. designed in Belgium and made in Japan in the 80's
Yeah, that's what I figured- a diplexer- but it'd have to be pretty well-engineered to isolate two hi-powered linears in such a small box. I'll get around to posting a picture hopefully tonight. I plan on selling it as I have no use for it. Maybe some D & A collector will care ...
For D & A tube amp aficionados- I own one of the D & A "Dul-Comm" boxes- it appears to let two linears connect to one antenna. I have no doc, so would appreciate anyone letting me know what this box does! Thanks, Checkerboard (I can try to post a picture if it would help...)
