    Thanks for your comments. They are both the same counter. The profile pic is a Mk2 148 Gtldx and the other radio is a Jentec Cob 1.

    Should work fine on a 148 GTL. Did mine a while ago on my 148 GTL DX over here in the U.K. Works on AM FM and SSB

    Over here in the U.K. the radio retailer Nevada will be doing my modifications, free of charge under the warranty. They have techs who will do the mods so will be back with me in a couple of days hopefully.

    Strange as you say but didnt the later 6 band black Jacksons have auto squelch control? The JA just has a PA facility like the earlier 5 band silver and black Jacksons.

    It certainly is interesting to know if Ranger do admit to having anything to do with these radios. If they are branded as Superstar then there must be some truth in it.
