Is there a way to install ten gauge power wires staight out of the back of the radio. Is it even a good idea. Or how about building power wires with out changing the power input at the back of the radio. Maybe also pwr cord wuth buit in noise filter. That filter thing I am not sur of. Never seen...

I have to agree on the crazy. Radio Shack used to have a buch of c.b. stuff. If I remember right, they use to sell some pretty good base station. Seems like that was a really long time ago.

I stopped by radio shack today to get a meter and they didn't even have one. Asked if there was a store in town that might and the guy told me that they don't and that they aren't even on there store web site any more. Now I haven't checked the site yet but, it kinda torqued me just a tad. Now...

I was in a C.B. store the other day and the tech was telling a radio owner about what pwr. setting to operate on for best results. He said for louder audio run on low, Will be louder but less pwr. Then said for better recieve run on high but, audio won't be as loud. It sounded a little crazy...

They all sound pretty good to me. Maybe I should do this like the military, go for the lowest bid....After a second of consideration that does not sound like a good idea. The military has not had that good of luck with that one either. Who knows, flip a coin.

My spelling isn't up to par either. One web site that I went to who sells those antennas sais they have some but are dicontinued. Another one I went to said that they are still selling them and did not say anything about dicontinued. I can't remember the third one but, other web site it seemed...

Now what I found might not be the same antenna. What I found was a franCis and not franSis. francis DID make an 8 foot but it is disconntinued. for how long they have been i do not know.

Did some research on this. All right I googled it. From the looks of it, there is an eight foot francis called the amazer. Average price of $18.00

Thanks for the info. It helps alot. Was "worked" on when I first got it. Want to send it to someone how knows what they're doing. Looking around for that right person. Also wanting on the money to be able to pay for it. Hopefully they will both come real soon.
