ok so i have an alinco dx70 i dont have a watt meter and they dont have the T or TH. stamped on the rear plate ( even though i have read they do) i have seen both and niether say if its the T model or TH version how do i tell???

imo a truck that the antenna is hitting trees ect go with a steel whip. the ,,springer,,(try google images) is pretty much quarry truck and 4x4 or farm vehicles antenna of choice in england. if its open highway they still work well as does a decent ,,halfbreed,, type steel whip but you can now...

even more odd is that this rig has the mic on far right hand side of face then working left volume then squelch in the middle then the wx/ch9 ch rotating switch then the wx/cb in-out with alm on off underneath. then the ch up/dn on buttons and also on the mic its like its built for right hand drive!

antron mobile i believe these are re made as solorcon tri load or w90? triple coil wound but thick like a firestik with clear coat wrap and a dv27 style sliding swr tip around 4-4.5 foot long needs a shock spring really but they work very well.

well as some rigs have a high swr warning light it would be good if dangerously high swr would automaticly cut the tx or drop the power to a minimum to save any damage. again ive never had an issue with a regular 4w cb rig
