Now, that's funny! I never could figure out why the old D-104 grip-to-talk stands were called "chicken chokers" back in the day. I guess it's an old-timer thing.
Yes, 'KFM certainly is a shmuck, among other things. What a loser.
Speaking of K1MAN, though, I'm listening to 14.275 as I type, and apparently someone is re-transmitting one of Baxter's "broadcasts" (read: intentional QRM/jamming/obnoxiousness). <sigh> Won't we *ever* be rid of that clown...
BRAVO! And, as Highlander_821 commented: well said. This old timer's hat is off to you, sir.
I think you speak for many of us here on this forum, as well as on other forums, when you point out your frustration with both purposely antagonistic posters and inept government bureaucracies...
According to my frequency allocation chart, the following frequencies within the 11 meter band are not used by, nor shared with, the U.S. military:
26.175 to 26.48 MHz;
26.95 to 26.96;

If WA4D shows up here -- BAN HIM ON SIGHT!

No prob. about not being a ham. I couldn't resist asking when I saw your 20. I see ol' Sparky took the bait. (Oh no! Another 14.313 fan on here... I may...
That's great, Rob! I like that about "break time!" Here in the show-me state, there was actually very little skip happening whenever I listened. I was pretty busy most of the day, and couldn't pay a lot of attention, but the radio was really quiet whenever I did.
Base: Yaesu FT-757GX/IMAX...
Definitely, bioman! Hey, check Sparky's post. His sig has the address of his (our) Yahoo! group that's dedicated to 16 SSB (plus other freqs. inside the 40 channels). If I'm not mistaken, Doctor is a member (if you're the same one) there, too.
I had a QSO on 16 LSB yesterday with a guy in...
