May I suggest you take a look at my QRZ page. There may be some information useful to you about BLT's.
BLT's are cheap and easy to make if you choose to keep it simple.
I also use 40 amp DPDT relays for all my OWF switching.

I know this post is a bit old but I couldn't resist-----I through this together on about 5 minutes and will match anything--even a old rusty steel fence post.
Link coupled tuner is the way too go.

I know this thread is a bit old but I thought I would share what I did.
I have several amps and it seem like one is always under some type of construction.
I installed a meat thermometer in the top of the lid. I drilled it's own small hole of appropriate size. I have the probe set near the top...
