I've been out of town and now I have to take my trailer in for service in a couple weeks. The heat is out and one of the slides isn't working properly. So long story short, the radio project is on hold until I get the trailer back from the dealer in a month or two.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have some good ideas now as to which direction to go. Hopefully I’ll have something working in the next two weeks and I’ll snap some pics.

Well, I hadn’t heard of Flag Buddy until now. But I checked into it and this definitely seems like the way to go! A clean, simple and attractive way to mount the A99 to the ladder. Very nice!
I’ll either get one or just mount a small mast to the ladder in a similar fashion.
Good stuff!
Yeah. I’m thinking you are right. Did you have it on a small pole attached to the ladder or just directly to the ladder with the U bolts? Also, how long was your coax? I think I’m gonna do it and just see who complains.
no doubt! yeah, the connex was "tuned" by an old shop from back in the day and I while I get tons of compliments, I have no doubt its dirty and splatters all over. The Stryker is new and just had a simple alignment from a tech....no limiter removed or other shenanigans. maybe it would be...
I do have a 102" whip I thought about mounting at the top of the ladder on back of the trailer and seeing how that performed. However, the roof of the trailer nor the sides are metal.
Got ya. ok, that is what i was worried about...that the trailer would be an issue. And yes, I am afraid the neighbors will be an issue as well. They almost all just watch tv on their antennas over the air and there are 10-12 trailers within 200 feet of me.
Ugh....this could be...
Hello guys. I have a slight dilemma. I work away from home and live in my travel trailer in an rv park. I would like to set up my equipment in the trailer and have a small base station to tinker with in the evenings. I have already received approval from the park owner to install my antron...
I’m interested in buying RCI 2950s, 2950dx’s, or 2950cd’s. They must be in working order and preferably in good cosmetic condition. I will use them some on a base but mainly as collection pieces so I’m looking for nice ones.
Prefer radios that are converted and aligned, but not butchered...
Well...I'm slowly getting my base up at running after 8 years of being out of the radio hobby. I'm mostly a CB/10 meter guy, but I've added a 2m/70cm radio to listen in on locally and I may get my technician's license before too long. I still need to get the Antron 99 in the air and a better...
thank you sir. I have heard that name before, so yes, i will try to reach out to rogerbird and go from there. I'd be willing for a hack to get them performing again. just not looking for truckstop CB shop B.S. if you know what I mean.
Thanks again,
B
Hello all:
Well, I guess I am full swing back into this hobby! There goes my money, haha. Anyway, I just picked up two radios on the HR2510 platform today, a Realistic HTX-100 and a President HR2600. Both made in the Philippines and both extremely clean with only very minor cosmetic...
