My Digimax 2.6 kit just arrived. It's assembled.
Can anyone give me info on how to install it on an 858pll? I've read the Digimax instructions several times and nothing is making sense.
Thanks in advance
I see a lot of info on cobra 2000s but nothing on the Madison.
Has anyone direct injected and if so how'd it go? Is it worth doing or is it better to run an inline EQ such as UR6QW's? If you direct inject, can you run the UR6QW 8 band EQ w/o rack gear?
i did get it. i started on the install and didnt check my work. went to power on the radio and fried a capacitor. my madison is at my local shop getting the capacitor replaced, freq counter installed, and a digimax channel kit installed.
I am waiting on my model Q ebay find. While I wait, are there any install videos or directions I can read through? I am new to moding and do not want to screw anything up. From the looks of the instructions that come with the kit, it seems straight forward. But, research is always good before...
I just got a first gen Madison recently and making it mine. I've already swapped out some bulbs for LEDs. Just replaced gears in the clock to get it going again.
Next up freq counter. I just bought this.

Welp just as I thought. On freq is at 1 o'clock instead of 12. Close enough. However this thing doesn't read ssb. It's already back in the box and Amazon return slip printed. Guess I'll balls up and hack the 347.
im nervous about hackin up something, so i ordered this
im sure it will be off freq a bit and wont track on receive. however, im only interested in getting close. ssb is by ear anyway!
Thanks chop.
As for you other clowns, I used to be a member of a motorcycle forum, so I have thick skin. I can roll with the haters. Like with anything, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you do to your radio may or may not be what I like.

Thanks all for the responses. Even those wth would you do that. As RT431 stated, I like to have it so others know I'm done transmitting. On a cell, land line, or Skype you can tell when the other person is done talking. I feel it's an added courtesy to the transmission without having to say...
Thinking about installing the following board. I have never installed anything on/inside a cb before. I have installed car stereos and amps, so I'm ok with wiring as long as I have instructions. As you know the 980 is a 6 pin, but I am using the adapter to connect a Ranger SRA 198. Any help...
