Fine tune cb scam. 2 years later

Ive heard as many people he claims to be talking to as ive heard people on the air say they're talking on a fine tune radio. Never have i ever heard someone say they're running a fine tune rig except for Mark. Its either a recording or hes flat out ghost talking. Pretty funny the UK feels the...

Wind load ratings and rotator lower support kits

Im assuming the reason for the 50% cut in wind load rating when using a lower mast support kit is because of it being clamped to a relatively thin pipe compared to a pate bolted to a tower. My question is can i increase the wind load rating by using a different method to mount the support kit...

Fine tune cb scam. 2 years later

I had problems with Lester years ago where i paid for a radio and he never shipped it nor did he even finish building it. He kept giving the excuse that he had to order parts. I got my money back thru my credit card company 4 months later. Glad you haven't had any issues.

Supply chain issues affecting the hobby continues

Well, never did get a reply from norms and the gentleman from hy gain says he was recently talking about retiring. All the rotor sellers have left ebay because of their high fees and seller protection program and are now on Facebook. I had to break down and start a new account. Thank you Ken...

Supply chain issues affecting the hobby continues

I've been reading all the reviews i can find and the one common element is quality in the past 10 years has dropped substantially. People are saying they had a 1990's built rotator in the air for 20+ years without a problem until they bought a newer unit built after 2010 and cant get them to...

Supply chain issues affecting the hobby continues

Talked to Hy Gain yesterday and their rotator division isnt doing well. Between covid wiping out several of their parts manufacturers and the continuing supply chain issues they are 4+ months out from resuming any new production. No new rotators/controllers until mid June at the earliest and...

Has Norms rotor service finally bit the dust?

Im not believing that. Pretty sure thats an auto message that is automatically updated daily by a computer. No email reply, disconnected phone and maps saying its "Permanently Closed" is enough for me.

Has Norms rotor service finally bit the dust?

Well be careful is all i can say and glad you got your stuff. All i ever got from Norms was a bad attitude. I thought maybe id give them another chance after 2 years since my last bad experience but with no email reply, maps showing its permanently closed, the phone listed being disconnected...

Has Norms rotor service finally bit the dust?

Google maps shows it "permanently closed" and the phone has been disconnected. Looks like the lack of friendly service caught up to them.

As New Wegawatt 50 Amp Switching Power Supply > 14.5 v

I like wegawatt supplies for running radios and accessories like fans but they dont hold up well running in parallel or running amps. Ive had one for 3 years that runs my 955 and a few fans and i love it.

Shipping costs are out of hand!

Last time i shipped my 955 for a mod it was $32 from Florida to Georgia usps priority, another $32 back and that was over 2 years ago. Gotta be near $40 now Why is my keister sore?

Shipping costs are out of hand!

Apples and oranges. We're not driving 1000 packages at once so the cost comparison isnt valid imo. The problem for me comes when shipping prices inflate when fuel prices rise but never deflate when fuel prices drop. Seems to me shipping companies are screwing the consumer.

Shipping costs are out of hand!

I know it's a little old but ive seen where usps is now charging extra for boxes over certain sizes. I do all i can to avoid shipping anything large. Parcels that are longer than 22 inches but less than 30 inches will see a $4.00 surcharge. Parcels that exceed 30 inches in length will incur a...
