I purchased the pm3 100lk, it is great for the radio radio, but if I power the texas star dx500v it gives a lot of noise in transmit. I need to find a way to quiet it.
This made me pull out what I once called Frankenstein. 2 -100 amp supplies I had combined with an aluminum heat sync holding 2 MBR 60/100 semiconductors. It was not pretty but it functioned. Had a smaller 12 volt converter on it to power the fans, and a lot of hot glue.
Great amp definitely puts out the watts. Asking $700 due to shipping cost. Photo showing watts is @ 15.5v with 7watts in. I would not run it that way I would keep it at 13.8v with 3 to 5 in to guarantee longevity.
Speaking in terms of s units 150w and 200w is just about the same thing on the receiving end...you pretty much took the words out of my mouth in this response.
I was wondering about that considering the 2290 is only rated at about 70 watts out, if I am at full modulation hitting it with more than half of its total power output ability, I have to be overdriving it.
Dimming peoples lights is cool and all, but damn if it's going to cause problems it could at least be a cool problem....maybe open parking garage gates..that would be an acceptable problem.
