Good thing about this version Anytone is that it is just about the same as the Lincoln II and schematics are available for that one. I am all for the right to repair movement. This is getting ridiculous.

Why do these clowns keep doing this? Make it a guessing game. I guess they only want their "select" "factory" shops to have the correct information and parts. Many of us have been servicing the CB & export radios for decades and really don't care to waste time with these silly games. I guess...

Had another RCI69 base unit come in with no RF output just a couple of weeks ago. Bias pots reading open, same gunk issue, RT1's shot. Ended up replacing the pots as cleaning wasn't really effective, still had jumpy adjustment. New output transistors, bias potentiometers, bias adjusted, back up...

Didn't bother, but I still have those VR's and might check them for that. The RCI-69 radios have been absolutely terrible for that crap!! I nearly always replace any when they start doing that, I don't trust they won't do it again. Thanks for that thought!

Got this one working fine this evening. Had the typical full power tx with no modulation failure. AM Amp regulator TR-51 was shorted. That immediately fixed that issue.
