10 meter is very quiet?

10 meters is Open every day from here in Northeast Florida to somewhere in South America & Europe. Today 9/18/25 I have worked several stations in Europe & South America & South Africa as well? If you are not hearing anything then you have serious issues somewhere in your station.

I missed the post where someone complained about not hearing anything.
LOL. Check the "11 meters is very quiet" thread! There's some unfortunate souls on there who never have conditions even though everybody else does....... and when they do have conditions nobody can hear them!

Radio is like real estate it seems.......You gotta have the right conditions, and after that it's location location location. Low takeoff angle to the horizon really helps too, especially on the higher HF bands like 10, 11, & 12 meters.

I think I would have better luck if I could set at my base station but this time of year around here is a busy work schedule, burning up the jobs that need to be done because the Good Tooth Fairy isn't going to do it. November is the time I start slowing down until Deer Season hits. I'm not complaining because I've always been ( The Man on The Run ). Soon we will be loosing all our Leaf cover and these hills will be what I call Skeletonized. In the mean time I lean heavy on my mobiles and all their drawbacks ! ( Over Hill Over Dale we hit the Dusty Trail ) Like a YO-YO !

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
