I havent ran the 2995 much lately so ssb contacts to speak of and am has been quiet this last week. There was some conditions yesterday evening for a few hours after the storms calmed down.

Just MARS modded the FT991A and replaced the el cheapo fan for a much better one with maglev and more cf/m output, keeping the radio more cool.
Just ran FT8 full power for an hour, radio just became luke warm, less as with the old fan.
So, when i chose i can go booboo on 11 meter...

I'm in Lexington NC so I'm 200 miles+ straight line inland from your location. Stateside DX coming in here pretty good today. Just also talked to some stations in New Hampshire, Kansas, Michigan, Maryland, & Massachusetts,

A lot of those were mobile. A-99 seems to be best working antenna on my end today for both receive and transmit.
