11 meter is very quiet?

That's one thing I can say as I never got anything North of PA except Nova Scotia once. I just came down from the radio room and nothing happening.
I hear ya,i finally shut down my Ranger this afternoon after it got completely quiet and all the DX disappeared up my way,I'll probably fire it back up early tomorrow morning, taking it easy on my vacation time at the moment...........

Pretty much a write off for the last five days up here. Endless hours of gentle hiss with just an occasional signal rising out of the weeds. Made contact with Billy Goat down in California this morning, and with 178 DxMan and his friend 120 on Aurora skip a couple nights ago.......they are about 150 miles SE of me, so usually too far for groundwave and too close for skip.

That's it. Less contacts in five days than I normally make in ten minutes under normal conditions LOL! Oh well..........

Just had to take my Cobalt for a run and I will say the Q6Pro was sounding top notch on 38 & 37 lsb,the best in awhile. When I got home I had to move my Expedition out of the bird poop zone and that Q6Pro was sounding choice also but no time to play. Best radio activity I've seen in awhile and probably tomorrow Nothing. I'm learning patience and everyday I get closer to dropping the old Star Duster down for some fine tune.

A couple of days ago I had a ton of contacts, including 3 from the Keystone. Heard one PA station today, but couldn't quite pull him out. If you're gonna be on tomorrow, I'll listen for you. Channel 37LSB. Hope to hear you. 73.

Hey how is that new Q6Pro working out for you now ? Are you getting use to the controls now. I still have a lot to remember and learn about mine. Before I jumped in bed I went to the radio room and even my Lincoln II+ was sounding good on 37 & 38 lsb @ 10 PM. It might end up being my base if I can get it mastered. So much to do & so little time ! LOL

Good afternoon J.J, I was on around 1pm my time on 37 LSB listening hoping to make contact, but no dice apparently as it was absolutely quiet on my end,was really busy earlier this morning on 37 and 38 LSB up my way and then it died off but Propagation is funny like that, hopefully sometime we can meet up when conditions are better, hope all is well with you and your Family!!

Well earlier this morning I made contact with the following on 37 and 38 LSB:
329 Kentucky
241 Dayton, Ohio
2029 Arkansas
637 Alabama
I seem to be noticing that at least for me here & there that early morning is when the Dx is going pretty good for me up here in Central PA, Normally I'm at work at those hours cooking Burgers and French Fries, but I'm on vacation this week until Monday then back to work, nevertheless I'm glad to get some Dx contacts when I can, etc..........

sadly no radioing at this time. harsh thunder n lightning in my area.
lights flicker now n then. maybe by noon it will piss it out of its system
I understand your pain. I look at the 10 day forecast and see we are going to be plagued with rain off & on, which is going to keep me from landscape & antenna work. Probably be July and 95 degrees & 90 % humidity so I can sweat it out. Hard to keep from swearing but I better chill out. LOL

I'm pretty sure if you reach out to Sirio they'll send you a new whip part for pretty cheap. I keep a spare!!
Thanks for the tip but I got my new magnet mount the other day and straightened the whip the other day good enough for me. Now I'm feeling poor and taking a brake from spending money on radio. We'll see what Fall DX does to me. I hope it pays off in the end.
