LOL you got that right I managed to squeeze out 1 contact from the radio room yesterday and that wasn't even a good one. Than my neighbor come home early. Probably this weekend when he's home DX will be banging in. Talk about frustration ! LOL I feel a road trip to the mountain hunting camp coming on !

I havnt managed to fire up cb. Went to get my meds .11 meters was dead so fired up kenwood g 707 n 2 meters n 70 cm dead too

Our temp, & Humidity is high today & next couple days so I'm sticking inside but then when the solar forecast is good I'm headed for the hunting camp to try my Q6 Pro out on my flat-liner K-40 to see if that SWR High warning pops up.

I know your pain ! I use to work under a welding helmet and leather in stuff like that to support my family. I was too Poor & Stupid to Die. LOL The AC is saving my Bacon now. I couldn't catch a cool breeze on the motorcycle even.

Upgraded to an 8.8 now. Sixth largest earthquake ever recorded. We are on inland waters here, so we are safe, but the entire outer coast of British Columbia is under a tsunami advisory. Waves are not expected to be more than a couple feet here, but California is expecting 5 to 6 feet in some areas.
Full on evacuations in Hawaii with thousands moving to higher ground.
Large areas of the eastern Chinese coast being evacuated now too....

Well the solar index lied for my area but the trip wasn't a lost cause totally. I re hooked my Q 6 Pro to my K 40 antenna to try it out and found No More High SWR call out when I keyed the mic because of the almost Flat Line SWR on the K 40. I did notice a SWR call out on the radio in SSB of Channel 1 of 1.1 Channel 20 of 1.2 and Channel 40 of 1.3 Makes me wonder if I should shorten the antenna just a tiny bit to satisfy the meter in the Q 6 Pro when it is in SSB Mode. I'm open for suggestions. I know some would say leave it alone but I'm the kind of guy that tries to wring out every last drop out of my system because there is too many things I have no control over in this environment and feel Why fight 5 Factors when I can only fight 4. Yeah I know I'm Crazy ! LOL

shut swr meter off. antenna is close nuff . i got rid of my 6666 i never grew to l

shut swr meter off.6666 meters are scrwey. and leave antenna alone.its at the point trim a 1/16" n it might go up elsewhere.
i traded my 6666 off never got a liking for it
