11 meter is very quiet?

Seems as if 37 lsb is starting to get a little crowded now when dx is on a good roll. Just my humble observation !
Everyone is trying to get away from the crazy 38 and it's causing traffic jams there on 37. When the dx is good, I like to find a quiet frequency, knowing there's probably someone listening. I'll call cq a couple of times and get in some good qsos. I normally do this on the upper frequencies.

Around here anyway it seems like 39 and 40 especially aren't used as much. And I never hear much on 34 and just a little on 35 sometimes, of course we are talking lsb of coarse. Of coarse I'm in this stinking valley so my situation could be different than others.

You sound like the same shape I'm in. I'm getting sick of winterizing. I have to dig the snow blower out of storage today because they are talking a polar vortex for Monday and Tuesday with a possibility of a little snow. I have 1 upstairs coal stove burning now and I'll start the cellar one late Sunday. Monday and Tuesday I'll stay warm in the house and go no-where and hopefully the DX will be good. Good luck in your endeavors.

I used to live in the bottom of a little valley, It was a challenge to work over the hill to the west but not too bad to the east.

Sounds like a good idea, I hear a shot of good scotch helps warm the bones....

It's definitely booming in the Texas panhandle today, so we'll that almost every station gives me a 7-9 so it's almost impossible to pull any single station out. I call cq and the whole dx world calls back at once.

The only good qso so far with Steve @UDX-483 and that was by way of qsy in between channels for a qso.

I'll be on throughout the day.

I got a chance to say hi to UDX-483 a few hours ago on 37 LSB. Conditions are good.

I'm thankful where I set in the valley the South & West is open to me but the North and East is cut off from me. If I set on the hill range the other side of the valley I'd be pretty much SOL and would hang it up. I'm surprised though my Star Duster does reach across the big pond to Europe and I have reached Nova Scotia once. I'll try to add a image to give you a idea where I set in PA. so you can see there isn't that much North or East of me so I'm happy to reach across the pond and up in Canada. I hope this works my area will show up as Red.
