11 meter is very quiet?

Just made contact with 995 in NC....this is W711 Keystone....Nice QSO. Made contact initially at 100 watts then went to 1000....LOL

11 meters was far from Quiet here in Northeast Florida earlier today.Both 10 & 11 meters were rocking.I even heard a few signals on 6 meters.They are all quiet again now but it' won't be long before Winter E-Season is here & it will wake up some then.

A tube...one 8877 / 3CX1500 Ceramic Power Triode in my AL-1500 1000 watts was coasting at 30 watts of drive. Here’s a spare sitting on my two Cobra 2000 GTL’s.

We had a cold front blow through a few hours ago. Temperatures are down in the 70s!

I heard some skip on LSB 38, but it wasn't too strong. Indiana and Kentucky came in, but that was about it. I couldn't get anyone to respond to my call outs.

It is dead quiet now.

Yes, it was really nice to talk to 995, he has that Lincoln ll+ tuned up and talking. Looking forward to making contact with others from WWDX

Same thing here. I call out on 16 LSB when DX is rolling but no replies.

Truckers here also often use 35 AM. 40 LSB usually seems to have the least amount of DX.

How about 27.405 and 27.425 and see how it goes?

We added channel 16LSB to accommodate 23 channel radios, and also created a separate thread to post when we’re actively monitoring one of the above under DX conditions:

If the band is open and you are monitoring 16 (or any freq for that matter, please post it there and I am sure other members would be happy to give it a shot...I know I would.

Thanks for your post, it was the nudge I needed to add my Midland 13-885 to the antenna switch and set it for 16 lsb
