11 meter is very quiet?

Florida sounding local tonight on AM and 38lsb. Weird because the band was dead most of the day and then 2 hours out after dark there they are.
I think the locals here are starting to realize it makes more sense to move to 39/40 rather then keep spitting in to the wind trying to rag chew over the more frequent DX on 38LSB. I think it took them burning up a few amps before they figured that one out

Same here. Started last night lots of static sound.

More on SSB than on AM. More on horizontal dipole antenna than on A-99. Exact opposite than usual.
