11 meter is very quiet?

Had the Ranger on the air this past Sunday morning, made a contact out of Panama, Florida but that's about it, haven't been on the air too much lately due to the conditions just not being there up here in Central PA and if course work, etc, will be glad when the Fall returns, hopefully Dxing will come back full force,if and when I'm on the air, I can usually be found on 37 LSB..............Wish we had more people in our area who used SSB CB radio, would be great to have a local group like they used to have back in the 70's when CB was at its peak, etc ...........

Don't feel alone, up here in the N/E PA even AM is dead. A couple years ago when the well drilling was going heavy you could catch people on AM or SSB but now only when DX is rolling. That's why I want to get my UV5R setup for GMRS to see if some have moved to that area of radio !

Made a small 30 mile round road trip to get a 100 LB propane tank filled and found dx from the South rolling in but couldn't make a contact. I noticed I had the radio in the SWR Protection mode and found my SWR was rather high. Which brings a question to the forum. After all the people with Q6Pros has anyone decided how accurate the internal factory SWR reading is on this radio

Just missed JJ again on 375LSB, dang it. He was signing off again when Mark in S. Georgia and I were trying to get back to him. Maybe he will be on later or tomorrow. Lots of rag chewing in Florida, Georgia, Carolinas, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Even some Australia.

Up here the pattern lately is for there to be nothing at all in the morning, then from mid-afternoon to evening it's a steady diet of Hawaii, Australia, & New Zealand with less-than-the-usual signal strength. Sometimes California & the other SW states make an appearance too. Seems like pretty much everyone is a mud-duck these days LOL!

I've been running the 5555N2 barefoot @ 60 watts on my horizontal delta loop and I'm still making a few contacts even with these poor conditions.......

In the southern interior it's been dead .

I think my very close proximity to the ocean is what is saving my butt, so to speak!
I'm only 150 meters from the water, and 60 meters above it.........and facing right out towards the Pacific. Vancouver Island is out that way too, but it's a good 30 or 40 kms from here to the peak of the V.I. mountains, so the horizon is low enough.

Great opening yesterday afternoon into the southeast U.S. for a couple hours.
Had tons of contacts in Florida, Alabama, Carolina's, Georgia etc etc.

Early evening I had a twenty minute QSO with 120 New Zealand on channel 37 with just a few weak stations in the background! Love it when that happens!

Getting short skip from California and Northern Mexico right now so it may be another good day today.

I live in rural area have not heard a soul in days?
Same here. I am in Cali, and it's been unusually quiet, except two days ago, I heard some chatter roll in from Oregon which is scarce, and briefly made contact with an operator in Northern California which is unheard of. For me, contacts with operators in the same State on sideband, is a flat out miracle!️⚡

Live propagation shows a lot of DX into SA, but not much into Colombia. I'll fire up the Q6 at 12-12:30 and give it a try. 23 BC Coyote and DrDX, I"ll be giving you both a shoutout.
73 all.

LOL. I have the worst luck. I heard JJ sign off with 08 Tropicana in Honolulu and I tried to make it back to JJ but he was gone (conditions may have fell out). I guess third time isn't a charm...
