It was a complete shit show last night until 9:30 or so. I did find a few folks above 27.405 coming in clean. But every frequency below that was nothing but damned roger beeps and echo, and everyone screaming.

The trusty barefoot Navaho was getting out last night on the scrap wire inverted V. I wish I could rotate it once in a while, it favors East/West right now. Made seven contacts though, Ontario, Ohio, the Carolinas. Today is off to a fine start too. Good stuff.

I had all kinds of conditions coming from the northeast this morning. 38 was a bit too much, but 37 was a nice change and I got in some decent qsos. Hopefully it's a good sign of things to come.
Edit: I just had a nice 30 minute qso with 023, Richard in Quebec City, Canada. A very nice guy!!

Haven't been on the air much the last week or so due to non existent conditions up my way and work and taking care of my Dad who is 86,hard to believe that summer is over with and the students are back in school starting on Tuesday and Penn State is back in full swing with the students being back, hope everyone is doing well out there!!

Time seems to fly the older I get. I feel like I just celebrated my birthday, but that was in February.
I'm right there with you Steve, the last time I was on the radio was August 5th. Been doing other things, and with conditions being what they are, I haven't thought much about radio until today.
I hope your dad is well. He's a lucky man, having his son to help out. 73 my friend!
Conditions have slowly been improving out here. Had Southern Cal, Florida, Kentucky, Jamaica, a ton of Carolina's, Mexico & Hawaii so far today........

Turned the radio on this morning and nothing but was suppose to have rain and thunder today so took care of other things and rested up from my Rocker Panel job. This afternoon turned the radio on and heard some promising DX. I like BC C. hope we are going to see things start to change around. The Earth tilt is slow. LOL
I was out in the garage today putting a starter on my daughter's jeep. I heard some people on side band, and they were few and far between. But channel 6 was going strong, go figure...
Around here we had the best conditions we've had in quite a while. I was able to bag the Bahamas, Jamaica, Canada, Arizona. Before it all fell out about 8 o'clock I made contact with New Zealand and a gentleman down unda.

I haven't been on the air since mid July. Doing some upgrades. Everytime I think I 'm ready to key down, something happens. Today I got it all hooked up and ready to go (I thought), but the fans on my amp were so loud that I probably need to replace them. Maybe I can use the Q6PRO's transmit noise reduction as a temporary fix. Gonna try that manana. So tomorrow for sure. Hope there are some conditions.

Was wondering how people made out today seeing the solar site said conditions would be good today. It wasn't for me but I did make a good local contact on 38 lsb and we chatted for a spell until my Q6 Pro mic seem to start breaking up and quit transmitting some times. Anyone out there ever have that problem and know the Fix ?
Work day for me but I had the shop radio on 38 and later on 555 and I heard DX coming in on and off all day.......... California & Hawaii in the midday on 38. Later the skip went very very long and 38 was dead, but deep South America (Brazil, Argentina etc.) was booming in on 555USB and 455USB was full of Portugese speaking stations.
got home turned radio on n music SHITTY music on 38lsb. turned er back off
LOL I know the feeling. Yesterday was suppose to be a good day but not for here. And today is suppose to be good. We'll see !
