11 meter is very quiet?

Great contact with another WWDX member today......45 North Florida booming in on 27.405 LSB. Always nice to meet other forum folks on the air!

Also chatted with lots of people on 26.805FM including briefly with 030 in the south of Ireland again. A fine radio day all around!
i talked to him also. he resides about 30 miles from where my great great granddad came from

The solar site has said 10-12 meter dx only fair the past couple days but been busy with winter & hunting prep work anyway. I'll bet tomorrow because it is the weekend and I'm off hunting the solar site will say 10-12 meter dx is good. LOL OH Well after next week my outside prep work should start to tone down here and the Coal fire will start burning which means more radio time ! That's how we roll !

It was definitely a pleasure running into another WWDX member on the air BC Coyote! You were slamming into Tallahassee Florida!

It was good again this morning open to the east coast, from Florida all the way up to Nova Scotia.
It was a mess on the 35-40 channels, but by just ignoring the clowns you can still pick out good contacts if you work at it.
It was much easier to ask them to go up to .400 there you don't have to fight to hear....
Even had a couple good qso's on AM, 28 was busy with some nice sounding stations putting big signals on the west coast.
Have fun everyone

I'm not sure right off, but your call does sound familiar. It's been so crazy in there lately that my pen can keep up the ink flow from me "chicken scratching" numbers down!

Good Morning all, hopefully planning on being on the air this afternoon around 2pm on 37 LSB if anyone wants to give me a shout out, just fired up the Ranger just now for a few minutes and made contact with a Mobile unit (777) out of Germany, Conditions seem to be okay at the moment,I'm off to lunch.............

Great DX conditions every day now for a couple of weeks. Been busy working but finding enough time here and there to get on the radio. Really enjoying 26.805 FM these days.....pretty cool being able to talk to a lot of the same folks nearly every day, at least until conditions shift around. It reminds me a lot of hanging on the AM channels below 1 back in the mid 1980's, where you'd chat to the same people daily on a "home" channel or club channel.

On the uppers I'm still hearing some Europe in the mornings and up until about noon PST. After that it swings around to South America and then Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific etc.
224 division Kiribati Islands has been heard several time lately in the evenings, and I also had 155 division Taiwan on Sunday evening. Both on 27.555 USB.

I'm in NE Indiana and just put up a EFHW that does 10,15, 20, and 40 meters. Hooked it up to one of my cb rigs and the SWR seems low enough to transmit. Can some help me test it out? After 2200 UTC works best for me. Give me a time frame UTC and tell me the channel. Thanks.
