11 meter is very quiet?

Yesterday 11m was a pile up on every frequency for me. Today it tamed down to Florida, California, Maine, and Nova Scotia. Not as many radios, but a hell of a lot easier to talk. Hope others have had good conditions too.

Had some actual conditions on the drive home today. Got 707 in western Illinois, 1044 in Cincinatt, OH, 639 location unknown, 423 in Kentucky, a Needlebender whose number I can't remember, and one guy whose numbers kept getting QRM'ed. That's more today than in the last three months combined.

Yeah I started to hear more clearly today which was nice. But I still couldn't cut the mustard as far as making a contact, but I tried. Better days coming ( I Hope ) LOL Spent most of the day mowing and chopping up leaves. Winter prep is busy with lawn and equipment prep. And soon comes special senior citizens deer hunting at the end of the month. I must be a crazy Old Fart !

Late this afternoon it was going south into Mexico and South America.
Contacts in Mexico City, Tapachula Mexico, Miguel in San Jose, Costa Rica, 2667 in Santiago Chile.
There was plenty of noise but they were all above it.
In the last 30 min or so they all faded away and now channel 5 am is full with what sounds like the Philippines but no one is answering my calls
Dx is getting better, now if old sol would stop throwing massive solar storms at us....

Some really interesting stuff heard tonight after sunset. Had 224 division Tarawa Island, some 91 division stuff from Indonesia and heard two calls from 60 division Hong Kong! Several stations from Chile and Argentina in the mix as well. All up on 27.555 USB. I hollered in vain for the Hong Kong station as that would be a new country for me, but alas it wasn't to be........he was only a couple S units, and I'm only running 65 watts right now as I don't have my amp in line. My old Daiwa SWR meter had a seizure and died earlier this week and I haven't ordered a new one yet, so I'm stuck with only the Anytone's internal meter for now.
