Hi everyone, I know I made a post talking about 2 meter SSB ... but this a different thought . I was wondering , are there any company's that make a 2 meter vertical antenna that works on both vertical and horizontal ... that isn't a beam antenna ?

A vertical is just that.. an omni for vertical polarization. A yagi is directional depending on mounting...vertical or horizontal. The only way to have omnidirectional horizontal polarization would be with a halo "loop" antenna. Good for monitoring in all directions but no gain when transmitting. No comparison to a beam when aimed where you want it...

It is called cross Yagi.
For example 220808 Tonna

Thanks Mike, that looks like a pretty good antenna to be honest. And I'll probably have to go with something like that if I can't find what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find an omnidirectional vertical antenna, that can transmit and receive both vertically and horizontally ... not something that's dual element. I thought that since they make HF antennas like that, that maybe someone built a 2 meter vertical antenna like that.

There's a sattalite antenna that's built on the circular polarization made by M2 I think.
A home brew quad cut for 2 meters is really not hard to build.
We used to make the boom out of 2x2 wood and used dowels for spreaders, add some 14 gauge wire and feed it with a quarter wave of 75 ohm coax.
Build two and make one vertical and the other horizontal.
