I was checking to see the likes and dislikes for people who have this radio. I am thinking of this radio for the diesel car.

Hello IamDevildog,

It seems like I may have answer your question on another forum, but in any case I'll give you my thoughts on this radio.

I have the 2970 and 2 of the 2950's and for the last 2 months now I have been using just the 2950 on the base. I can't find a single fault with any of the radio's, they work just great. My 2950's are doing around 30 watts with modulation on ssb and around 27 on AM. The 2970 I have had for little over a year now and never a problem with it either.

If I was to buy another radio again, it would be another RCI.

Get in touch with the Dealer, ask him, he's uses one also.

Take care,

DXman

Dxman,

Is that out of the box or have you had anything done to the 2950DX?
