I picked up a TRC-459 recently also, it's just come back from the tech after a tune up.

I always liked the Navahos, but the TRC-459 has that uniqueness about it, being the last incarnation.

I know they aren't high performers, but it's not intended for contesting or anything like that anyway.

BTW it has the original price on the box, $439.95!!

That's a heck of a find, especially for 30 bucks and in that condition! Very nice! Those rigs are conversation pieces, as everybody remembers them, but nobody has seen many... especially in that shape. Congrats!

I scored a TRC-459 for $50 at a garbage sale a few years ago, it is in VGC but the box is kind of beat. I'd like to find it's mobile companion in good shape at a realistic price but, they seem to be scarcer than the 459.

Helluva buy sir! Nothin wrong with "braggin" either!! I've done my share of it over the years. I NEVER intend to make anyone mad over it,just love to share the enthusiasm (sp?) of the said "score"!! Ya know Damn well they'd be just as proud and excited
