I have a Bird Model 43 with factory installed PEP kit and several elements / slugs but I do not have a 2500 watt element / slug. I have a 5000 watt element / slug and it indicates 1800 PEP watts out of my 10-pill amp and I'm not certain of the accuracy. I will probably purchase a Coaxial Dynamics #82009 element as Captain K. has suggested. For home use, the Daiwa meters work just fine. As I said upthread, I have compared my Daiwa to a Bird and they read, for all intents and purposes, the same.
No point in spending big money on a Bird meter when the Daiwa will give you the same information for much much less!
I've had several Daiwa meters over the years and they all worked just fine for what I need them for.
i have the other type pep kit that has 2x and 5x need a 500-watt slug, but I only have a 250-watt slug. 2x mode fixes itI have a Bird Model 43 with factory installed PEP kit and several elements / slugs but I do not have a 2500 watt element / slug.
