In the older Ham radios , is it ok to mix and match you Final tubes . Not the numbers , but the companies . Is it ok to put a GE 6146 tube with an RCA 6146 in the same radio ?

Branding Mixing should be fine as long as they have the same specs and matchup electronically with all appropriate testing.

Good chance this will work okay. Bearing in mind that the brand name printed onto a tube only tells you who put it into a retail carton, not necessarily who made the tube. Tubes leave the factory with only the type number printed on them.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
