Anytone AT-900 Pro

I bought the 900 PRO for my wife Luz's mobile. I had an old Superstar 360 fm in it, but it looked dorky. Too big !! The 900PRO is a better fit. Took the 360fm and put it on her base in place of the Superscope 640 she was running. Worked out perfect when she couldn't get home because of the mudslide. Her mobile made the trip to the farm, but the lightning was causing massive interference on AM. Switched to FM and problem solved. 900 Pro is hard to beat for $119.00. GoodBye Cobra 29.

There might be a way, but I have not seen it yet.
Change the input on the amp your running to account for output power. That is most of the difference between say a TS350 or a TS350HD.

Sure it is nice having a pot you can twist under the cover to set low power and high power but today that is becoming more rare. I dare say almost everyone that is a regular on this sight can order up some fresh resistors and swap out the values to change input pad. That is also why modern amatuer amps no matter if they are tube or solid state require 100w in. Well no the FCC requires that butit is the input attenuation pad.

A lot of us have old amplifiers set up for the days of CB radio's leaving the factory with 50% modulation and if you where lucky a solid a 3w carrier with almost no swing. So you turned the low power down to 1.5 to 2 watts, clipped the modulation limiter to get to 95% modulation and slapped a power mic on it! By the time I got into CB big in 1991 those days where long gone but a lot of vintage gear was still around. Today we see the old amplifiers turn up more than than the old radio's. I do not think to many CB gray market linears are being built today with the idea of 1.5W dead key most will handle way more than the 4w to 7w carrier this rig puts out.
