Can the receiver be tested alone without hooking up the Transmitter to it? I want to put a 27.???Mhz 30%modulated signal into it for testing?

Shameless self promotion:

Or you could just find an 8-pin "octal" plug. Add a jumper wire from pin 4 to pin 5. A second jumper wire goes from pin 7 to pin 8.

This is really all you're buying in the overpriced fleabay listing. An 8-pin plug with two jumper wires installed.

The receiver is perfectly happy to operate alone, so long as those two connections get made to the transmitter socket on the rear.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
