Browning Mark 3 receiver drift fix.

Just a quick update on the state of this repair. What I ended up finding was that my major drifting issue was with the main tuning dial itself. Just years of oxidation that took a lot more elbow grease with a fine burnishing stick and some D5 cleaning the contacts at the capacitor shaft as you had said and she seems as good as new now. I do think that doing the mod described earlier in this thread also helps drastically to hold frequency stable. I talked on LSB for over an hour last night and frequency stayed spot on. That's pretty good for a 50 year old Mark III. Thanks again Chris for all of your help!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
