I honestly haven't seen a good book yet, and a lot of the information on the internet is often unreliable, this is just my opinion. I would start out with "understanding and repairing CB radios, by Lou Franklin" although I disagree with some of his thoughts, and "quick" make money products, (channel guard filters) his book is good.

Depends on the book and who wrote it.But I will say that many of the better written books will show you the basic things that any cber should know like, mike wiring, how to do basic troubleshooting, coax prep, antenna installs, etc.And in Lou franklins basic book he will tell you when its time to take it to a pro.
