Can I make the squelch knob control RF gain

I would greatly appreciate some guidance on making an RF Gain circuit for my back up radio, a Realistic TRC-440. I can email schematic, but would have to scan the document. Thanks!

It's obvious to me that the Teddy has a different version of the 505 board. Although the Teddy doesn't have an RF gain,it has power and modulation adjustment points on it whereas the 505 can only benefit by adjusting L205 and spreading L203 and using a good power mic

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
