Although I am loath to use Microsoft products

I thought I'd look around their new search engine today at bing.com Noticed they have a MAP feature and I love maps so I checked that out.

When in MAPS, I noticed a tab that says "birds eye view." It doesn't cover all areas yet but is high resolution pics taken by airplane. Very clear images and quite impressive. Far clearer than any satellite view.

Yeah, their maps are really good. The funny thing is...they've had that for a while on their local.live.com site but never really marketed it.

I played with the maps last night, the images are the same as Google Earth, at least the images of my house and fire station are, and they are a few years old.

It is pretty cool though......
