Having experienced an airbag deployment to the face before I am glad it was not like that one. The chemical burns to the inside of my right forearm were enough.

That is why I always insist on genuine OEM replacement parts. My life was save twice by the airbags in an 97 F150 and a 08 Ranger.
Sad if the crash didn't kill you, the safety device would.
This is what happens in a country with no regulations on manufacturing or anything else for that matter.
