Co-Phasing two mobile antennas

"I not only don't know how to write 'HTML', I don't have any interest in learning! So what's the deal?"

how can you seriously expect someone to explain "HTML Comments are not allowed" to you after you just finished telling everyone that you have no interest in learning it.?

no one that i know of wants to try to explain something to someone who doesn't want to learn.

might be why no one answered your question the last time.

Freecell,

You have GREAT knowledge about electronics but in several posts including the last couple here you seem to leave a caustic remark. It sort of hurts the good stuff you do post.

you mean like this?

HTML Comments are not allowed

the above line is generated by default

by the forum software when html

comments are used in a text-only

posting format.

html comments are keyboard symbols such as:

the left arrow

the right arrow

the hyphen or dash

the exclamation mark

you're posting in text format so quit with the

symbols already.

try previewing your post before actually posting it to the forum to avoid this problem in the future. that's the only way for the computer challenged to catch the problem before it hits the board. if you screw up you'll see the default "HTML Comments are not allowed" in the preview window. that way you can remain "unconcerned" as to html protocols.

here's something for the rest........

P.S. Sonwatcher....you wrongly interpret my stating of the obvious as the result of some intense emotion on my part. you read too much into it. the only emotions here are merely those of frustration when individuals want someone else to solve their problems but don't want to learn anything. that's the ultimate oxymoron. if the problem was created by the software it would be understandable. in this case it wasn't. forgive me for expressing my frustration in your inimitably judgemental presence. i'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again, if only for your sake.

Freecell,

The post I made was made BEFORE you decided to "help" him. You seem very quick to dish out comments about people but someone gives a suggestion to you about how your info could better be received and you are totally defensive. Go figure. So it is dropped <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

If you want to use ending statements that appear to degrade the person you're responding to go ahead. Just thought I would give a suggestion about the way you communicate so that what you say is taken a little better.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

maybe that's because you're not understanding what's being said. i simply told you that you're in no position to sit in judgement on my emotions.

to attach the word caustic would insinuate that my comments were couched in anger or resentment. i told you that you were wrong. indeed there may have been a little sarcasm tossed in for good measure, but don't presume to know my thoughts and intentions and my emotional status is not the subject of the topic thread.

"if only for your sake" was added at the last minute simply because you're the only one complaining about it. i'll bet if we go back to the original comments there are some who probably got a laugh out of it. some of the things Doc says sometimes do seem to illicit that response. or hadn't you noticed?

if you're feeling degraded by what i posted you need to lighten up.

in the future if you feel the urge to critique my communications skills i would appreciate a personal message.

# Corrosive and bitingly trenchant; cutting. (See Synonyms at sarcastic.) i already copped to this.

# Causing a burning or stinging sensation, as from intense emotion: as in, “Most of all, there is caustic shame for my own stupidity”........

(and just so you or anyone else is not offended again, that example came straight from the dictionary, i didn't make it up myself, no matter how apropos it may be)

#Severe; satirical; sharp; as, a caustic remark.

i merely stated the obvious. the attribute of common sense has not been added to the definition as far as i can see.

and i'm the one who ended up explaining the problem and providing him with the necessary information he needed to prevent the error....so drop it.
