I gotta 148gtl made in 1996 with a rci8719 chip in it. Will it mod the same (channels) as a regular 8719??? Heard someone say they didn't. Thanks, Hooty :roll:
 

as far as I know hooty ? it should work fine and very easily done ....it helps to have the tools of the trade for accuracy but it's still pretty much cut and dry , this is one of many you can do and you can also look through out the Net for more ,channel mod good luck to you.
 
I found that pin 10 to ground = blowed chip....I thought that's what I had read somewhere before but couldn't remember...Anyway, I will replace with MB8719 and all should be well!!! :oops:
 
Used a 18pin IC socket and installed another RCI8719 (the only type I could find) and removed the mod...all is well ;)
