I have a question to everyone who owns a cobra 200. What size power supply are you all running? How many amps? Thanks

4+ amp home-brew, and it has half a dozen radios running off of it at the same time. They are only in receive mode, however. I use the supply to keep all of my showcase radios lit up. It enhances any "COOL!!!" factors.

When I test 200's (or any other radio), I use a Powertec 60+ amp switching supply with #6 main cable feed, and doubled #14 for the 200 power cord setup.

I think somewhere around 10 would be close, give or take. I guess I should say that I've never actually looked the the dead-key pull of a 200 running at about 30-40 watts key, so I'm basing what I'm saying here on general 2-pill amp characteristics.

a 20 amp power supply will run a 200 just fine radio will pull 18 to 20 amps full power :D
