cobra 29 meter

i have a cobra 29, everything works fine ,but the needle wont move on tx it will on receive but not on tx. anybody got any ideas

A quick peek at CBTricks shows D10 may be responsible. I only looked at the schematic for a Cobra 29LTD-ST.

There are many variables of this model. Perhaps a more detailed model number (including any suffixes) will reveal a better response.

I would also check adjustment pot VR5. Someone may have used an improper tool on that pot and destroyed the wiper. Also check for any loose or bad solder connections on the S/RF, SWR, CAL switch and all wires leading from it. I recommend cleaning the switch with Deoxit Gold.
