Does this radio require the mic being plugged in to have ears, and does anyone know the wiring requirements inside a D104 deck mic for it?

It also has a Digi-Scan with which I am not familiar.

I see the question about the mic wiring was asked/answered here - http://www.worldwidedx.com/general-cb-services-discussion/33566-courier-centurion-40d-mike-help.html -, but i want to work in the microphone end. I'll try to detemine it on my own (the mic is currently wired for a Siltronix radio), and see how I do.

The clock works, but the receive doesn't seem to be working. I'll look around in it, but I don't think I know what I'm looking at. I may have to send it off to be worked on. I got it free, so it may be worth it.

Homer -

This radio is a keeper. A special 858 ssb chassis built just for Courier. Doesn't need a mic plugged in to receive. If speaker is ok, check the relay contacts, as this is a common "no receive" fault with this set. Does it key up and transmit ? If it does, this eliminates a lot of possibilities. good luck. 73s

Take a 1/4 Headphone/Stereo jack and plug it in and wiggle to make sure the contact on the "PHONE" is working for receive it is the only way it would have no ears under easy testing.

I Might have the sams for it I will look.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
