DINNING OUT IS A DISAPPOINTMENT

For the past 30 years, we've bought beef from a friend. Him and his brother are ranching on his family place that his great grandfather started in the 1800's. It's grass fed with the last 35 to 40 days on a high fat feed. He'll process one each year and we just buy what we think we need, which now that the kids are gone, is normally a quarter. The absolute best beef I've had. I never order beef in a restaurant, with the exception of a burger.

The dining experience has decayed immensely since the world got shut down. Finding competent caring employees seems to be a challenge. Can't even get a smile from any of the servers...
Exactly, I stopped to get a fast food burger ( it sucked) and I thought to myself, it's almost like I'm being served by an emotionless robot. Took my money handed me a cup and never spoke a word to me other than the amount it cost me. I also wonder if it's these phones, younger people don't seem to interact with anyone except on the phone.

Most of the steak houses out here in west Texas are locally owned and put their roots in the ground long ago. Actually, a lot of them spun off from a ranch.
As for Western Sizzling, there was a time you couldn't drive more then a few miles (in the large cities) and not see one. Now Texas has three....
