Remember the Comstat, Telsat, Dyna-Com, HE, and HB series?

Remember the quality products, great service and affordable prices?

I do..........................

I miss the old "Range-Boost/II" End Fed 1/2 Wave Base Station CB Antenna.
This was the vintage Lafayette Omni which sold for 19.95.

And who could forget the MR-119 "Super Scanner" Electronic Rotatable CB Base Antenna manufactured by Antenna Specialists, which sold for 79.95 in the old Lafayette Catalog.

Those were the days....

I dont remember them from years ago cause I'm not old enough to. I do have a Lafayette Telsat SSB140 in near mint cond. tho. I used to use it alot but that was before I got my Cobra 2000.

Lafayette had it all (quality, fair price, and S-T-Y-L-E), but for a few exceptions (like the Telsat SSB-140 base, which technically was just a continuation of the SSB-100 style) they lost their way. Compare the 40ch Telsat SSB-75 mobile with the 23ch SSB-25, and 50 and you'll see what I mean. Rat Shack, on the other hand, put the hammer down on quality and style with most of their 1977-1984 rigs.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
